Product information "LE TONKINOIS Marine No.1, colourless 1000ml"
Le Tonkinois Marine N°1 - the ideal yacht varnish, easy to use and very economical, for all types of wood on the exterior or interior of boats. Certified by the French Navy. Its oily, chemical-free binders guarantee durability, very good UV resistance, salt water resistance and resistance to cleaning agents when applied correctly. Marine N°1 is ideal for painting e.g: Deck superstructures, boat hulls, masts, railings, companionways, rudders, tiller, furniture, etc.
- Consumption: approx. 20 m² per litre and coat.
- The substrate must be finely sanded, clean, dry and free of dust and grease.
- Processing temperature should not be below 12 °
- The best results are achieved with natural bristle or natural hair brushes
- For larger areas, high-quality short pile rollers have proven their worth.
- A drying time of at least 24 hours should be observed between coats.
- Surface dry after approx. 6 h, recoatable after approx. 24 h, fully loadable: after approx. 7 days.
- Tip: For best surface results, more smoothness and adhesion of the coats, sand in between with 180 grit.
- At least 4 coats of paint are recommended for good weather protection.
- For long-lasting protection, e.g. on boats, we recommend up to 8 coats of " LE TONKINOIS " Marine N° 1.
- The gloss level, whether glossy, satin or matt, can be adjusted by adding " LE TONKINOIS " GELOMAT in the last two coats applied.
