Sikaflex®-291i is a stable, pasty, one-component polyurethane adhesive and sealant for marine applications that cures with atmospheric moisture and fulfils the requirements of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
Sikaflex®-291i is a versatile product for use in shipbuilding and boatbuilding and is used to produce elastic and vibration-resistant sealing joints in interior areas. Sikaflex®-291ihas excellent adhesion to the main materials used in shipbuilding.
Suitable substrates are wood, metals, primers and paints (2-component systems), ceramic materials and plastics (GRP etc.).

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE Sikaflex®-291i is generally resistant to fresh water, sea water, diluted acids and diluted alkalis;temporarily resistant to fuels, mineral oils, vegetable and animal fats and oils; not resistant to organic acids, glycol, concentrated mineral acids and alkalis or solvents.
Gebrauchsanweisung:
The bonding surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease or dust. Different pre-treatments are required depending on the substrate (pre-tests recommended).
Apply Sikaflex®-291i at 10-40 °C, 15-25 °C is optimal for substrate and adhesive. Apply with a suitable cartridge or bag gun.
