Sikaflex®-298 is a slightly thixotropic 1-component polyurethane adhesive/sealant that cures with air humidity to form an elastomer.
Sikaflex®-298 fulfils the requirements of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
Sikaflex®-298 is suitable for large-area bonding of deck coverings made of plastics (except polyethylene / polypropylene) and for the tight embedding of teak profiles and wooden panels
of teak profiles and wooden boards on the deck. Suitable substrates are GRP, waterproof glued plywood, coated corrosion-protected steel and aluminium (EP- or
PUR acrylic-based) and stainless steel.
